THE GAME SETS THE BRIEF.

T4N CORE FOOTBALL v2

FOUNDATION YOUTH · YOUTH DEVELOPMENT · MEN

MODERN FOOTBALL. ENGINEERED FOR THE GAME.

Football has changed. The way players move, the way kits are worn and the expectations of modern teamwear have all evolved.

We believe the engineering behind football kit should reflect that.

T4N Core Football v2 has been developed as a dedicated football platform, bringing together modern athletic proportions, controlled garment geometry and considered construction.

From young players taking their first steps in football through youth development and into the men's game, the objective remains the same: create football garments that provide the right balance of comfort, movement and modern athletic presentation.

Not simply smaller or larger versions of a generic football kit.

A dedicated football system, engineered around the players who wear it.

PLAN YOUR CLUB’S FOOTBALL KIT

THE STARTING POINT

FROM A FACTORY BLOCK.
TO OUR OWN FOOTBALL PLATFORM.

Our starting point was a factory-developed block, much like the starting point for our basketball kit.

We wanted to develop our own approach to fit, shape and proportion. So we engineered our own Core Football jersey and shorts around a modern athletic fit, considering both garments as a complete match kit.

The result is our own football platform, with the garment engineering established before your club’s identity is brought into the design.

01 / THE PROBLEM

MORE FABRIC DOESN'T ALWAYS MEAN MORE COMFORT.

For years, football kits have often relied on generous proportions to accommodate movement and different player builds.

That approach can provide room, but it can also introduce unnecessary bulk, loose fabric and an oversized appearance.

At the opposite end, a garment designed purely to look athletic can become restrictive when the player begins to move.

Neither approach tells the whole story.

A jersey's chest measurement is only one part of how it fits. Shoulder position, armhole geometry, sleeve proportions and the distribution of fabric around the body all influence the way it feels.

The same applies to shorts, where thigh room, rise, leg opening and length can make a significant difference.

At T4N, we believe a modern football kit should be developed around these relationships rather than relying on excessive fabric or simply reducing measurements to achieve a closer fit.

The answer isn't necessarily more room or less room. It's having room in the right places.

02 / THE PLATFORM

ONE FOOTBALL PHILOSOPHY. THREE DEVELOPMENT PATHWAYS.

Core Football v2 brings together three dedicated pathways, allowing the same engineering philosophy to support players through different stages of physical development.

FOUNDATION YOUTH

WHERE THE JOURNEY BEGINS.

Young footballers have different body proportions from older youth and adult players.

A smaller garment is not automatically an appropriately proportioned garment.

Our Foundation Youth pathway recognises these differences, establishing a dedicated starting point for younger players within the Core Football platform.

The focus is on appropriate garment proportions, comfortable movement and a fit suited to the early stages of football participation.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

GROWING PLAYERS. CHANGING PROPORTIONS.

As young players develop, their body proportions change.

Shoulder width, torso length, chest development and leg proportions do not necessarily change at the same rate.

Our Youth Development pathway continues the Core Football approach through these intermediate stages, recognising that developing players require more than a straightforward increase in garment size.

The result is a structured progression within the same football platform, rather than an abrupt transition from children's kit to adult proportions.

MEN

MODERN ATHLETIC FOOTBALL.

The men's pathway brings the Core Football philosophy into a contemporary adult football silhouette.

The jersey is developed to balance an athletic appearance with considered room through the body and upper garment.

The shorts follow a more defined athletic profile, with closer proportions and a modern length.

Together, they create a coordinated football system without assuming that the jersey and shorts should fit in exactly the same way.

The objective is not to make every player wear a tight kit.

It is to offer a properly considered athletic fit, with clear guidance that allows players to choose the size and amount of room they prefer.

THE NEXT CORE PATHWAYS. A SEPARATE ELITE PLATFORM.

Core Girls Development and Women’s pathways will be developed at a later stage to complement the wider Core Football pathway. They are not presented here as current Core options.

Elite Women’s Football is a separate platform, with a different styling and fit. It is not the women’s version of Core Football.

03 / SIGNATURE ENGINEERING

IT'S NOT JUST THE SIZE. IT'S THE SHAPE.

CONTROLLED GARMENT GEOMETRY.

One of the defining principles behind Core Football v2 is how the garment's shape influences its fit.

Two football jerseys can share the same chest circumference yet feel noticeably different when worn.

That's because the overall measurement doesn't explain how the fabric is distributed.

The balance between the front and back of the garment, the shoulder position, the armhole shape and the sleeve geometry all contribute to how the jersey sits on the player.

Changing these relationships can alter the feeling of room and freedom without necessarily changing the headline chest measurement.

This is a fundamental part of our approach to football engineering.

Rather than relying entirely on adding width or increasing size, we consider how the individual parts of the garment work together.

The same principle applies to shorts.

Reducing the width or length of a traditional football short may create a more athletic appearance, but it doesn't automatically produce a balanced athletic fit.

The relationship between the waist, rise, thigh, leg opening and length must be considered together.

A modern football silhouette should be the result of engineering, not simply removing fabric.

04 / WHOLE PLATFORM ENGINEERING

DIFFERENT GARMENTS. ONE CONSIDERED SYSTEM.

THE JERSEY — ATHLETIC WITHOUT UNNECESSARY RESTRICTION.

The Core Football jersey has been developed around balanced proportions, combining a contemporary appearance with considered room through the upper body.

Shoulder positioning, body geometry and sleeve construction all contribute to the intended fit.

The aim is a clean football silhouette that feels natural to wear, without relying on the excessive volume traditionally associated with some teamwear.

THE SHORTS — A MORE DEFINED ATHLETIC FIT.

Our Core Football shorts have a deliberately more athletic profile than the jersey.

Their proportions are closer through the thigh, with a modern silhouette and length.

This distinction is important.

A player who is comfortable in their usual jersey size may prefer additional room in their shorts, depending on their build and personal preference.

That doesn't necessarily mean either garment is incorrectly sized.

It reflects the different fit characteristics of the two garments.

We encourage clubs and players to consider the jersey and shorts independently when selecting sizes.

COLLAR & NECKLINE CONSTRUCTION

The neckline plays an important role in both comfort and appearance.

Core Football incorporates defined collar construction systems, allowing neckline geometry and finishing to be considered as part of the garment rather than treated as a decorative addition.

SLEEVE DEVELOPMENT

The platform incorporates short-sleeve construction and a long-sleeve development pathway.

Sleeve geometry is considered in relation to the shoulder, armhole and body, helping maintain the intended proportions of the jersey across configurations.

CONSTRUCTION & FINISHING

The relationship between pattern pieces, seams, hems and waistband construction contributes to the finished garment's shape and behaviour.

These details are considered together so that the construction supports the intended fit rather than working against it.

CUSTOM CLUB IDENTITY

The engineering establishes the garment.

Your club establishes its identity.

Through custom artwork and sublimation, club colours, crests, sponsors, names and numbers can be incorporated into the finished kit.

The visual identity can change from club to club while the underlying football engineering remains consistent.

05 / LONG-TERM CONFIDENCE

FROM FIRST KICK TO SENIOR FOOTBALL.

For clubs supporting several age groups, consistency matters.

Young players develop. Teams progress. New players arrive. Kit requirements change.

Core Football has been structured around this reality, bringing Foundation Youth, Youth Development and Men together within a connected football platform.

Each pathway recognises the different proportions of its intended players while retaining the same wider engineering philosophy.

This creates a more consistent foundation for clubs managing football kit across different age groups.

It also helps make sizing conversations more meaningful.

Rather than assuming that every player should wear the same style of fit, clubs can consider the actual garment measurements and the preferences of those wearing the kit.

A young player may need additional growing room.

Another may prefer a closer athletic appearance.

An adult player may prefer the jersey's intended fit but choose more room through the shorts.

These are normal considerations when selecting football clothing.

The objective is to understand the fit, not simply follow the label.

06 / OUR ENGINEERING PHILOSOPHY

ATHLETIC FIT DOESN'T HAVE TO MEAN TIGHT.

An athletic fit describes the intended shape and proportions of a garment.

It doesn't automatically mean compression, restriction or that the garment has been manufactured smaller than its stated size.

Equally, choosing a larger size doesn't change the underlying engineering of the garment.

It changes how that garment fits the individual.

These distinctions are important, particularly when clubs are ordering for players with different builds, preferences and stages of development.

At T4N, we encourage customers to compare the measurements of garments they already wear comfortably.

A favourite football jersey or pair of shorts can provide a useful starting point when selecting a new size.

This is often more informative than relying on body measurements alone or assuming that a familiar size label will fit identically across different manufacturers.

Our engineering establishes the intended garment proportions.

Our sizing guidance helps players and clubs understand how those proportions relate to their own preferences.

We don't believe every player needs to wear their football kit the same way. We believe every player deserves to understand how it is designed to fit.

07 / BUILT AROUND YOUR CLUB

YOUR CLUB'S IDENTITY. OUR FOOTBALL ENGINEERING.

Every football club has its own identity.

Different colours. Different traditions. Different players. Different ambitions.

Core Football v2 provides the engineered garment platform behind that identity.

Whether you're organising kit for a single team or coordinating several age groups, we can help you select the appropriate sizing pathways, understand the intended fit and bring your club's artwork together.

Our football platform has already been developed.

We aren't starting again with every club.

Instead, we work with you to understand your requirements and apply the appropriate garments, sizing and customisation to your programme.

From Foundation Youth through Youth Development and into Men's football, the aim is to make the process clear, consistent and considered.

YOUR CLUB. OUR ENGINEERING.
